“Souvlaki” is basically the greek take on meats on skewers and a famous gastronomic tradition among natives and tourists.
In Greece, the preferred meat is small pieces of pork, though other meats can be used such as lamb, chicken or beef. A souvlaki meal consists of several skewers of meat served with any combination of pita bread, fried potatoes, vegetables, lemon and sauces.
Of course, the best souvlaki is located on the land it came from. Particularly in our restaurant, “Εrotokritos” located in Exarheia- Athens Greece we offer excellent service and luxury at the price of a ‘reed’.
The ‘reed’ refers to kalamaki (Greek word for small reed) type of souvlaki.
